Colleen Hitchcock is the owner and trainer at Canine Academy.
Colleen graduated from the National K9 School of Dog Trainers and is a
certified professional trainer. She is an
accredited Canine Good Citizen instructor, and a Certified Dog Trainer
through the IACP. She has attended seminars at
Cornell University on Canine Behavior. Colleen owns four dogs,
Clancey (border collie-competes in agility) Troy (Australian Shepherd -
retired 4-H competitor) Cloak (border collie-competes in agility) and
Sam (pit bull mix -demo dog) and she also competes in obedience with
Dagger (border collie). Colleen is a member of the International
Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) , a professional member of
the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) , National K9 Dog Trainers
Association, The Clarence Hollow Merchants Association, and the
Lancaster Chamber of Commerce. Colleen was a 4-H group
leader. Colleen's dogs have been featured in Front and Finish
Magazine and Borderlines Magazine. Colleen is also involved in
pit bull rescue and helps out Buffalo Humane and Smilin Pit Bull Rescue.
